Ädäm The one-man project Neriglissar has changed slightly musically since the last EP, but the further development is definitely going in the right direction. The clear singing and the dreamy melodies are like a gateway to a new world. Really well done! Favorite track: The Forest Transcends.

A faint light breaks through Tangled boughs of ancient woods In which encased the memories And secrets of the earth's roots The wind soars and echoes The distant sighs of the wise owl That counsels and sits by The high throne of the woodland sovereign The dark descends The light wanes The moon ascends To bring us the end The night's vein Where the stars reign Only fog remains And the forest transcends

I was born when the world was young Under a primeval sun The greatest among the Refaim The Giants of ages long gone Then men came, and set out to hunt us With torches, arrows and spears They called us Eimim – the Horrors, the dread And our growls filled them with fears Do not seek us in the mountains and valleys The sons of the fallen angels Only in legends our name shall live Shrouded by the mist of ages My race dies with me, as in battle I fall A thousand warriors I fought Lay in my grave at Gilgal Refaim Pass my spirit to the land of Mot In the course of time, we lost our lands The mortals became our bane We withstood the great world flood, But fell to the weapons of men Our name became that of the ghosts The late souls who wander the earth We, the great old mountain giants Who ruled all the world at my birth Gone we are from the mountains and valleys The sons of the fallen angels Only in legends our name will live Shrouded by the mist of ages My race dies with me, as in battle I fall A thousand warriors I fought Lay in my grave at Gilgal Refaim Pass my spirit to the land of Mot

The crimson sword has fallen Upon the heavy mud The spirit now awoken The master lies in blood He bursts free of his irons To wander wild astray His feet shall have no rest And take him far away Wild eyes are waking The light is now waning Look for the hill from which flows the crystal stream From where the Witch's Fortress Watch down the distant seas The glassy lake that sleeps Beneath Aricia's trees Those trees in whose dim shadow The ghastly priest doth reign, The priest who slew the slayer, And shall himself be slain The untamed leaves adorn the master of the amber glade And buried deep beneath his eyes a kindred yearning burns Over the mountain and down in the fountain Diana’s eyes gaze through the roots and the trees Through ancient withered tree trunks Which guard the sunken shrine And tell in lofty whispers A legend lost to time Of trees in whose dim shadow The ghastly priest doth reign, The priest who slew the slayer, And shall himself be slain The Golden Bough is gathered A trial shall be had For servitude and freedom For stature and for god Revival of the hallow Night gives way to dawn A new king has been chosen The forest be reborn! Never to leave the realm of petal shade And wander forever from thicket to glade From where the Witch's Fortress Watch down the distant seas The glassy lake that sleeps Beneath Aricia's trees Those trees in whose dim shadow The ghastly priest doth reign, The priest who slew the slayer, And shall himself be slain And when the bough is plucken The new king shall lay reign The priest who slew the slayer, And shall himself be slain
